This is crazy, Jameson had an interview for school on Saturday. Yes, that's correct, an interview. What is this world coming to when you have to interview to get into school? Well, truth be told, I love the school and hope he gets in. Not sure if he will, have to wait until after James and I have our interviews and then they make a decision. He's 3 and we're going through all of this? What's going to happen for college? Sheesh.
There were 14 kids who were in on the group "interview". They wanted to make sure that the kids who might be starting school in September were able to sit long enough and have an attention span long enough in order to succeed in school. All of the kids were brought into a common room and the parents were left to sit in the foyer and wait, for an hour and a half. (Seriously, as I type this I realize how ridiculous this all sounds but it's a great school!) James stayed home with Stellan so I had to meet people and talk to them or else I would have been bored out of my mind for an hour and a half. Thankfully I met some really nice people and we were able to bide our time during the interview. The kids came out en masse and one parent jokingly called out, "So, did you get in?". Funny but I'm sure he was serious to an extent. The kids were starving and all headed to the goody table. After 2 danishes Jameson was ready to head home. I asked him what they did during the interview and he didn't say much. He eventually told me that they listened to a story about a frog and a button. Another kid overheard him and said it was a toad, not a frog. So, does that slip mean he won't get in?!? hehe, oh well. I would love for him to go there in the fall but if it doesn't happen I won't be heart broken. Disappointed, a bit. Heartbroken, no way.
