Play Date

We went to Kai and Belinda's house today so the boys could play with Aksel. Kai is James' co-worker who is here from Norway. They are a great couple and their children, Aksel (4) and Sofia (4 and a half months), are sweethearts. Jameson was quite excited to play with Aksel since he hasn't seen him since Thanksgiving. Aksel immediately introduced the boys to his toys. After playing with the Legos for some time, they decided to move on to the trains. What a train set he has!!! I've never seen more track before. We (uh, I mean the kids....) were able to construct some pretty complex tracks. Even though the track was gigantic, the boys still found a way to fight over it. Sheesh. Aksel wanted the trains to run into each other but Jameson really wanted no part of it. Some crying followed and then Jameson decided that, since he wasn't getting his way completely, that he would just destroy the track. Grrrr...not impressed! Thankfully Kai and Belinda understand what it is like to have a three and a half year old so it didn't phase them. Darling Stellan was playing by himself on his own little track. Forget the big fancy ones, he's content just to have one round track with a dozen cars on it. One end of the train almost touches the other but he's still having fun.
We got home after 2:00 so it was too late to put the boys to bed. We knew we were in for a rough evening. Needless to say, the boys were in bed and sleeping by 7:30.
