Preparations

I'm so excited, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. That means that I should be getting things ready rather that typing my blog but that's beside the point.

We're hoping to have 12 adults and 5 children here for dinner tomorrow night. That's a large gathering and there is going to be a heck of a lot of food. Thankfully my mom is coming into town tonight and she is going to help me with the food preparation. The other preparations have been in the works for a few weeks now. I made adorable place cards last night but they took forever to complete. Really cute though. I'm anxious to decorate for Christmas but I find it necessary to hold onto the fall decorations just a bit longer for Thanksgiving. I have conceded to listening to Christmas music though; love the Josh Groban Noel CD.

I'm really excited about the fact that we will have 6 different countries represented around our table tomorrow night. How cool is that? What a unique opportunity. The countries are: Canada (had to list it first since it's the best!!!), Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, France and the US. My mom is the US stand in although she is technically not American and refuses to become American. So, that means that we officially have 5 countries, the US technically not included, but we're all celebrating and American holiday. Go figure. :)
