American Football

We had to do it, it's an American tradition. Through James' work we were able to get tickets to the Princeton vs Yale football game. Deloitte sponsored a tailgate party and then off to the game we headed. Once we sat down there was a guy asking us if the person a row in front of us and down a bit was Dean Cain. Uh, not sure but I'll definitely check that one out. Sure enough, it was Superman in the flesh. What a nice looking man!

The boys were quite mesmerized by the game and sat practically pefectly still for the first half. During the half time show they loved watching the two bands on the field. James stepped away and headed to the washroom. When he game back he was talking to none other than Dean Cain. I was so impressed!! James mentioned that he saw him on a recent episode of Smallville and asked if he was a Princeton alumnus. Sure enough, he is. At that point I asked James to ask him if we could get a picture with him. I told the boys it was Superman so they were definitley willing to get in the picture. Dean (first name basis, hehe) was kind enough to come up to us since we had the kids; he said he understood what it was like to have little ones. Olivier and Marije took a picture, of course I didn't have my camera. :(

That evening we headed back into Princeton to have some dinner. We joined Marije/Olivier and Jong/Harriett at Winberries for some dinner. A rude host said we couldn't join them since they had already eaten. Meanwhile, they only had appetizers and were planning on eating a full meal with us. I tried to explain this to the rude man but he just didn't get it. We ended up leaving and Marije didn't leave a tip, good girl!

We went to a Japanese restaurant down the street where we got to eat sushi for dinner! I'm glad we left the other place, I got to eat my favourite food!! It was delicious!!!!

Olivier and Marije came back to our house to play some games. Dutch Blitz and Pictionary, what a great way to spend a Saturday evening. Marije and I dominated the first game of Pictionary, winning by a landslide. We decided to switch things up a bit and I ended up partnering up with Olivier while James and Marije formed a team. I shamefully admit that Olivier and I lost. It was definitely a close and competitive game but the other team won. :( I blame Olivier. :) hehe
